Hypercerts Foundation: The web3 standard for impact certification and interconnected funding systems

GM Octant community  :heart_hands:

thank you for the support in Epoch 4. The funding is essential for us to build and we are excited to share some visible results of that work with you in this update.

Additionally, you can also stay up to date on the hypercerts development on Karma GAP. Here is our profile: https://gap.karmahq.xyz/project/hypercerts-foundation

Most information is already up to date there and we are adding the last details. For that reason we leave out some updates here, such as the “Other funding sources” as we provided them here previously. Now you can find them directly on the profile. Thanks to the Karma team for their awesome work!

New developments

1. New dapp on testnet

We have released our new dapp on testnet: https://testnet.hypercerts.org/ Please check it out and reach out to us with bugs and improvement ideas.

This new release integrates five key components for hypercerts:

  1. Hypercert Minter: Easily create hypercerts.
  2. Indexer: Discover and explore hypercerts.
  3. Evaluator: Submit and view evaluations and attestations.
  4. Marketplace Features: Buy and sell hypercerts with ease.
  5. Hyperboards: Display ownership of hypercert collections.

After thorough testing and fine-tuning, we’re gearing up for the full release. Stay tuned for more!

2. Infrastructure updates

The work on the new dapp required a lot of infrastructure updates, for instance we created our own indexer to create the best functionality for our users.

3. Marketplace contracts

They are live! And not only on testnet, but also on Optimism mainnet. We are adding additional chains soon.

4. Kickstarter-like platform

We created a simple platform for events or other programs that want to raise funds for their contributors via hypercerts. The MVP is done. It can be adopted to use cases easily. If you read this and are interested to learn more, please reach out to holke@hypercerts.org

Roadmap

Next steps

  • Fine-tuning the dapp and full release
  • Updated content website
  • Let users create hypercert collections themselves to be displayed as hyperboards
  • Release on Arbitrum
  • Integration with more evaluation services

After the hard work on the new release, we are excited about the feedback and to implement more features based on user demand.

Use of previous and potential future funds

  • Funds from epoch 4: We funded the infrastructure work, especially the indexer, as well as the marketplace frontend. All this took longer and more resources as expected.
  • Potential funds from epoch 5: We specifically want to use the funds for the hypercert collections and improved evaluations.

The basic infrastructure is done, let’s go! :tada:
