JobStash: A Job Board provided as a Public Good

Project Description

JobStash is a free, unbiased job board designed as a public good for the entire crypto ecosystem. We curate crypto-native job opportunities and enable organizations to post vacancies and hire candidates at no cost. We provide visibility, transparency, and safety to both jobseekers and organizations looking to hire.

Our purpose is to grow the ecosystem both by onboarding new people professionaly into crypto and by facilitating talent rotation across organizations.
We do this by curating a comprehensive, safe, and complete dataset of the entire crypto ecosystem. We don’t charge job posting fees, placement fees, or interview fees—in fact, we have no fees at all. If one wants to gain extra visibility, we allow organizations to feature their job posts, but that’s about it.

We index data for ~8000 organizations and track about 2700 live jobs at any given point in time across the ecosystem. Our goal is to have near-complete coverage of all of the crypto ecosystem. Over the past year, we’ve served 53,100 job applications, 77,900 job card expansions, and 413,000 page views. We’ve grown to over 11k subscribers on Telegram and have 5,600 visitors per month on our website.

How we are different:

  • We pull jobs from career sites on a daily basis, rather than requiring orgs to submit jobs to us.
  • We include jobs for organizations that nobody else covers, thus supporting small founding teams in their growth.
  • We discover reputable organizations who support decentralization and import their metadata automatically.
  • We support importing jobs from a wide range of sources (bring your own ATS, Notion, templates, etc.).
  • We import and list job postings from organizations for free, in a permissionless way.
  • We have open APIs and are composable by definition.
  • We distribute jobs to an audience of >11,000 people on Telegram, for free.

This places us in the position of being a curator rather than a matchmaker. We focus on getting the data right, for everyone, equally, and we obsess about data correctness, accuracy, and safety rather than making a quick buck on job placements.

JobStash is more than a platform – it’s our commitment to growing the ecosystem one hire at a time by providing visibility, transparency, and safety to both job seekers and hiring managers who will ultimately drive decentralization forward.
