Doots Podcast:

Project Description: The weekly Doots Podcast is a recurring, community-driven livestream, hosted live on the EVMavericks Discord + YouTube and is also available on-demand. We feature industry-leading guests (many of which came from our own community) to help educate our audience on cutting-edge topics in the web3 space, while also shining a light on our community members by featuring the top 10 weekly upvoted comments from the r/ethfinance daily threads. Additionally, our community has the opportunity to hop on and ask questions of any guests/EVMavericks alike. Members of the community have been able to contribute artwork and music, guest curation, and started businesses, all stemming from this podcast.

Budget Breakdown

We hope to raise 1 ETH ($2578 as of 8/21/24) to cover operational costs and grow our audience base

Milestone 1: Cover yearly operational budget and production tasks for one quarter

Duration: 90 Days Budget: .5 ETH

Expected Outcome:

  • Pay yearly Zoom + Libsyn memberships and avoid out of pocket cost

  • Reimburse team members for daily/weekly tasks required to produce each of the episodes next quarter

Milestone 2: Implement initial marketing plan for one quarter

  • Grow Discord livestream Attendance by 50% in 90 days Increase external views (YouTube) by 100% in 90 days

  • Fall Below: We’ve produced 74 episodes to date, financed only by our own wallets and time spent. We would be extremely fortunate to receive any funding at all in this Epoch, and will continue creating episodes regardless of funding.

  • Exceed: Augment marketing budget and more fairly compensate team members for their time.

Due to the decentralized manner of our project we will rely on future grants and community support. We are a not for profit educational podcast and will remain that way, but we are open to potential partnerships that are aligned and share our values of public goods, education and decentralization.
