Funding Requested: 60,000$ / ETH

  • Green Goods: We are requesting $20,000 / ETH for the final development phase, data collection, and executing the pilot in Rio Claro, Brazil.
  • Impact Reef: We are seeking $10,000 / ETH to refine the alpha version, integrate user feedback, and launch the beta.
  • Greenpill Commons: $10,000 / ETH is needed to complete the platform, conduct user testing, and engage the community.
  • Operations & Team Growth: $20,000 / ETH to sustain weekly meetings, support workstreams, and compensate the core team across various functions, including community, product development, and business development.

Plans should you fall below, reach or exceed funding goals:

If we fall below our funding goal, we will focus on core functionality, minimize design expenses, seek additional funding from other sources, and refrain from initiating new projects. If we reach our goal, we will stay focused on completing the outlined milestones and concentrate on the work ahead. Should we exceed our funding goal, we will save a portion of the excess funds in our treasury and allocate some to fund partnerships and provide additional compensation to our builders.

Impact Measurement and Reporting

Inputs > Activities > Outputs > Outcomes > Long Term Impact

Short-term Outcomes (0-3 months):

In the short term, we expect to achieve several immediate results, including the launch of the Green Goods MVP on Arbitrum and Impact Reef MVP on Optimism. We also plan to allocate more funds to regenerative games during this period.

Advancing Values of Freedom and Privacy

Our projects advance the values of freedom and privacy by building strong on-chain primitives centered around impact and coordination. This enables communities to easily bring their value on-chain and be rewarded for the value they create. Additionally, our tech stack prioritizes privacy by storing no Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and relying solely on on-chain data as the source of truth.

Supporting Decentralization

We support decentralization by building a decentralized community within the Dev Guild, creating projects with decentralized governance structures, and assisting the Greenpill Network in defining its decentralized structure with attestations, tokens and allocation mechanisms.

Team Information

Our team consists of builders across different domains helping to build the community and projects.

Social Proof

Our project is recognized within the regen and Greenpill ecosystem, with endorsements from Kevin Owocki, Greenpill Brasil and Grant Ships.

Transparency

We are committed to transparency in our operations. Any funding received from Octant will be held partially in our treasury. Through our governance process, we will allocate funds to different branches and projects within the Guild. On a monthly basis, we will convert a portion of ETH into stablecoins to pay contributors across various branches and projects.

Other funding

Since the last Epoch, we have received the following grant funding:

  • ReFi in Arb : 20,000 ARB
  • Giv Arb : $2000
  • Donations : $1000
  • Treasury Contribution : 0.5 ETH

Thanks for reaching out and wanting to learn more about our projects. I’ll share a brief overview and some key links to provide more context.

Starting with our tools and usage, each of our projects are in the development stage and near MVP status.

  • Impact Reef: Currently set for release mid September for the OP retro round and we will have workshops to help projects get their community to provide endorsements of their work. This makes it easier for Optimism badge holders to evaluate projects with a combination of quantitative data from Open Source Observer and qualitative data from Impact Reef.

  • Green Goods: Completing Arb in ReFi grant milestones for MVP of the app enabling us to start the pilot in Q4 this year. Here we’ve already had one community event with 7 local gardeners and will continue to have more in Rio Claro, Brazil. We have also had discussions with Silvi Protocol around integrating some of their features with our app to enhance and streamline the onchain plant observation process.

  • Greenpill Commons: Currently in a design phase and in the queue for development work in September once the projects above go into production. Our usage goal with this tool is to enable Greenpill Chapters to identify problems in their community and crafting actionable solutions.

When it comes to team growth and events, for the past 2 quarters many members of the Guild have done a ton of work without compensation so part of the funding is to retroactively pay for those contributions. For the more present and future, it’s around enabling us to sustain our community retain builders for different projects, and onboard new members to expand efforts.

Our projects are not just applications as we also provide design and technical expertise for the Greenpill Network. For example, our designers are currently leading the efforts to revamp the branding of the Network. We also plan to host workshops starting in September to teach skills like Hypercerts, EAS, Charmverse, Karma GAP, etc for Greenpill Chapters and the greater regen community.

We’re committed to building in public and fostering coordination across organizations. Our weekly call is open to the public and everyone who comes is welcome to discuss their projects, ideas and garner feedback.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown of the our event/team growth.

  • Workshops : $4000
  • Retro Payments : $10,000
  • Network Projects : $6000

Hope this answers your questions and feel to message me if you have more!

Thanks! Appreciate all the support from the Octant community and accepting us a project in Epoch 5. Excited to give an update will break it down by months.

September

Given our limited funding for full development costs on Green Goods and Greenpill Commons, we focused on making strategic, iterative improvements. For Greenpill Commons, our core UI designer, Marcus, polished designs and implemented a unified design system, ensuring consistency across projects like Green Goods. We reached a key milestone with Impact Reef, completing our initial Optimism Mission request and transitioning to QA. Additionally, our community building efforts continued through weekly calls, monthly Twitter spaces, and partnership outreach with other regen-minded individuals and communities. We also began planning our Q4 workshops and GitCoin community round operation for Allo advancement.

October

October was a pivotal month with multiple milestones across workshops, grant operations, community growth, and project advancements. We hosted two workshops focused on Hypercerts and Passport integration with public goods ecosystems. These workshops allowed us to gain insights from the tool builders, discuss updates, and offer technical support while brainstorming real-world applications. Another milestone was our first GitCoin round to support Allo builders, marking the beginning of our sustained Allo funding initiative. We also celebrated a full year of weekly calls, the cornerstone of the Greenpill Dev Guild’s growth and community.

In terms of projects, Impact Reef advanced through the QA process, while Green Goods received a design polish. Our new product lead, Chris, initiated the development of GreenWill, a mini-app rewarding users with SBTs based on their Greenpill activity, starting with Guild.xyz and planning integrations with social platforms like Farcaster.

November/December

As the year draws to a close, we’re prioritizing the completion of QA for both Impact Reef and Green Goods, hosting our final Karma Gap and Allo Yeeter workshops, and setting development goals for our projects. We’re also creating a foundation for further grant operations with Allo and exploring new avenues to strengthen public goods ecosystems, including opportunities within Octant. After a productive month of external grant rounds, we’re now focusing on internal priorities like governance, multisig structure, and documentation updates.

The funding from Epoch 5 will support ongoing development through these months and provide retroactive payments for completed work. We’re excited to continue growing, supporting the Greenpill community, and exploring synergies across ecosystems. In addition, we’re planning an application for the Octant Community Fund Round 2, where we aim to introduce novel ideas for GLM staking to encourage support for public goods and grow GLM stakers.

Feel free to checkout our Karma Gap and Milestones Database for more detail. We would love your thoughts and feedback and are always open to discuss these ideas during our weekly call or in a 1:1 conversation.
